Resetting Your Password

Getting a 'Username and/or password are not valid' error message when logging into a department web app?

If you are using your University of Melbourne username and password but failing to authenticate your login to an optometry department application -

  • clinical teaching resources
  • interactive case studies
  • video library of optometric procedures
  • eAttendance

and you have being confirmed as a valid user, then most likely your password on the university authentication server is not synchronised with that set in your central account.

This can normally be fixed by resetting your university central password triggering a refreshed roll out to the university's satelite authentication systems.
